A prestigious partnership, through which Giardina Group has entrusted Pininfarina with the task of designing the Italian group’s new automatic sprayer. A collaboration between two Made in Italy companies, interpreters of a unique know-how, which in an industrial painting solution have been able to concentrate innovation, research and customer care: a strong contribution to Giardina Group’s business strategies to expand its business worldwide.

The automatic Dualtech Forma spray machine is ideal for medium to high production rates and is designed to spray stain, primers and finishes onto all smooth or shaped surfaces. It is equipped with an infeed and outfeed belt conveyor; the self-cleaning conveyor system for the parts inside the spraying area is made of a 2,000mm wide x 2,800mm long belt, closed in a loop to ensure greater transfer efficiency.

The “Dualtech” spraying technology, two opposing reciprocating units that can hold up to four guns each, provides an even application on all surfaces of the substrate to be painted, including the edges.

The extraction and disposal system is located on both the right and left sides of the belt. Extremely ergonomic, the new painting area – completely redesigned – allows convenient front and rear access.

The spraying room is made of carbon steel profiles and pre-painted sheet metal panels; the air taken from the environment by an electric fan is filtered and evenly distributed inside the spray booth.

The air distribution plenum ensures an efficient flow, thus reducing the paint overspray. “Dualtech Forma” is fitted with two additional air distribution plenums located at the inlet and outlet of the spray booth, so as to keep the spray booth under vacuum, thus preventing the overspray from escaping and ensuring that the extracted air is fully filtered.

DUALTECH 500

The DUALTECH 500 oscillating sprayer with two oscillating arms, is used to spray stain, primer and top coat on any smooth or shaped surface.

The ventilation system is designed with a large finishing chamber and pigment filtration areas of such dimensions as to guarantee a significant reduction of the overspray. The DUALTECH 500 can only be supplied in the synthetic belt version (2000 mm) with the classic and reliable Giardina Group product recovery and belt cleaning system. The overspray disposal system can be dry or with water curtains. This all in a compact and functional layout, which makes it a reliable and versatile work tool. From the small batch to large productions. With the Dualfast quick-change device, the operator can change color in a few seconds and start spraying without wasting precious time cleaning the guns in the machine.

DUALTECH 420

The Dualtech 420 spray machine with two reciprocating arms has been designed to spray stain, primer and finishes onto all smooth or shaped surfaces.

It is available in three versions: “Single Belt” (SB) with a 2,000 mm synthetic belt equipped with the traditional and reliable Giardina Group product recovery and belt cleaning system; “Dual Belt” (DB) with synthetic belt and disposable paper system, so that the operator can choose the most suitable system; “Single Belt Paper” (SBC) with disposable paper system. The abatement system can be dry or water curtain, while the “Dualfast” gun “quick change” system makes it possible to switch from one color to another in a few seconds.
